A classic stick pin featuring a solitaire Peridot gemstone. The Peridot measures 7 x 9 mm and is a lovely lime green colour, estimated carat weight of 1.86ct
Hallmarked as follows: 9, 375 (denotes 9carat gold) Leopards head (London assay mark) D (Date letter for 1978).

It has been a popular choice of gemstone in fine jewellery since the mid-1800s. Peridot jewellery was extremely fashionable in the Victorian and Edwardian eras, due in part to King Edward VII declaring peridot his favourite gemstone
