Art Nouveau, 9ct, 9k, 375 gold Amethyst & Pearl brooch, pin
Beautifully made in 9ct gold during the Victorian, Art Nouveau period.
This antique brooch features a central 3.5mm faceted Amethyst mounted in a collet setting surrounded by an open worked pearl decorated gold frame.
The frame has a pearl decorated three pointed petal design with ribbon and fine gold intertwining leaves.
A matching Amethyst (5.5 x 4mm) drop hangs at the base in an “en tremblant” (in a trembling style).

A beautiful gemstone the Amethysts are a vibrant purple with a good saturation of colour, they have no visible chips or cracks.
Amethyst is the traditional birthstone for February.
Pearl is the traditional birthstone for June.
