Description
Victorian 9ct, 9k, 375 Gold, Ruby eyed Fox head, mask stick, tie, cravat pin, hallmarked 1896
A fine stickpin featuring a fox head mask embellished with tiny, cabachon Ruby, gemstone eyes, beautifully made in 9ct yellow gold. Complete with rose gold barley twist pin.
This inquisitive little fellow has a slightly wonky nose (tilts to one side), I have seen this before in similar pins and believe it to be in the design.
The head of the pin measures 8 x 9.5 x 10.5mm.
Hallmarked as follows: 9.375 (denotes 9carat gold), anchor (birmingham assay mark) W (date letter for 1896) together with initials: A.G.B
Perfect for a Vintage wedding, the stick pin looks stunning on a tie or cravat and makes a great family heirloom to pass on through the generations.
Beautifully presented in its original tooled leather box with cream velvet and silk interior, the following is printed in the lid:
