Chester 1918
Five old-cut gemstones adorn this quintessential Victorian ring, beautifully made in 18ct yellow gold with three Sapphires and two rose-cut diamonds, mounted in a delicately carved scrolling gallery and plain shank.
The centre Sapphire measures 3×3.5mm and is flanked by two x 1.5mm, old rose-cut Diamonds and two, 2mm Sapphires. Giving a total carat weight of around 0.20ct
The Sapphires are a lovely royal blue colour, there is a slight abrasion to the facets on the centre Sapphire (visible under a jewellers loupe).
Hallmarked: crown, 18 (denotes 18ct gold), Chester assay mark, T (Date for 1919) together with makers initials RN
Sapphire is the traditional birthstone for September
Diamond is the traditional birthstone for April
Looks great worn as an engagement ring or stacked with other rings.
The width of the ring is 7.4mm and length across the finger is 17mm.
