Exquisite Victorian 18ct, 18k, 750 Gold Old-cut Diamond & Sapphire boat ring, Circa 1900
Seven old-cut gemstones adorn this quintessential Victorian ring, beautifully made in 18ct yellow gold with three Sapphires and four rose-cut diamonds, mounted in a boat style with tapering shoulders terminating to plain slim shank.
The centre Sapphire measures 3.5mm and is flanked by two, 2mm Sapphires & four tiny, rose-cut diamonds. Giving a total carat weight of around 0.25ct
The Sapphires are a lovely royal blue colour, there is a slight abrasion to the facets on the centre Sapphire (visible under a jewellers loupe).
Hallmarks: the hallmarks are worn – tested as 18ct gold
Sapphire is the traditional birthstone for September
Diamond is the traditional birthstone for April
Looks great worn as an engagement ring or stacked with other rings.
The width of the ring is 6.6mm and length across the finger is 17mm.
