Birmingham 1899 – 1900
Five old-cut diamonds adorn this quintessential Victorian ring, beautifully made in 18ct yellow gold with five, 2.4 – 2.6mm diamonds, mounted in a delicately carved scrolling gallery and plain shank.
The Diamonds are beautiful old, hand-cut, deep gemstones with an estimated colour: I, clarity SI2 and total carat weight of around 0.40ct.
Hallmarked as follow: 18, anchor (birmingham assay mark) Z (date letter for 1899 – 1900) makers mark Sa & S Ltd.
There is also a hand engraved inscription inside the shank as follows: JMcF . NS
The width of the ring is 4.6mm and length across the finger is 16mm.
