A fine, quality gold stick pin featuring an Essex crystal head of a fox in a 15carat gold collet & rope setting, complete with barley twist pin.
Hallmarks: None tested as 15carat gold.
Essex crystal is a reverse crystal Intaglio made from rock crystal, it has an engraved intaglio on the back and is painted so that when viewed from the top and sides the image has a three-dimensional effect. The technique originated in Belgium c. 1860 and became popular in England.
This collectable, Victorian stick pin comes in its antique box as displayed.
