Exquisite, Victorian 15ct, 15k, 625 Gold Seed Pearl, Star brooch, pendant. Circa 1880
This Stunning brooch, is beautifully designed as a cut-out, domed star mounted with sixty-three seed pearls. The points of the star are connected with a circle of foliate designed leaves.
Can also be worn as a pendant and has a loop on the reverse (chains available to purchase separately – please contact us for more details).
A lovely statement piece, the star was a popular motif often used in jewellery designs during the Victorian period. A Star was thought to symbolise guidance and wisdom.
The brooch/pendant measures 36mm with a depth of approx 10mm
Complete with metal pin (used for strength for wearing on outer garments) and gold c-clasp fitting.
