Rare, Victorian 15ct, 15k, 625 Gold Buckle, Hair mounted Mourning ring, Dated 1879, Maker JJ&S
A Rare, Antique hair mounted, mourning, buckle ring from the Victorian period. Skillfully made in the design of a buckle with a band of braided hair woven between, the outer section has a decorative key hole design and has been intricately hand engraved with a scroll design – please see images.
The following has been hand engraved inside the shank:

In very good antique condition, with no damage and full set of crisp hallmarks as follows: JJ & S, 15ct (denotes 15carat gold).
