Circa 1895A beautiful, antique stickpin featuring a bird (swallow or swift) in flight with a pearl attached to its beak.
Exquisitively made in 15ct yellow gold, the bird has finely detailed feathers, eyes & beak.
Not hallmarked but fully tested as 15ct gold.This romantic pin may have been given to a loved one when departing for war (the swallow was the first bird seen near land and symbolised a safe journey home) the pearls resembling purity & chastity.MEASUREMENTS: 69.1mm (length of pin), 24.3mm (length of dove+pearl)
