Royal Corps of Signals regimental Gold, Enamel & Diamond sweetheart brooch by Garrards & Co London 1983
A quality Elizabeth II period ‘Royal Corps of Signals’ regimental gold, enamel & Diamond brooch depicting “Mercury” the winged messenger of the Gods, referred to by the Corps as “Jimmy”; set with four rose-cut diamonds and decorated with blue & red enamel. With Latin motto “Certa Cito” (Swift and Sure) in scroll at the bottom of the pin.
Complete with roller catch clasp.
Hallmarked: 9, 375 (denotes 9carat gold) anchor (Birmingham assay mark) I (date letter for 1983) and maker’s mark “G Co Ld” (Garrard & Co London), The Crown Jewellers.
