Rare, Art Nouveau Gold, Pearl & Rose-cut Diamond acorn ring, Circa 1890
This
quintessential Victorian ring is adorned with a lustrous Silver cream
pearl depicting the nut of an acorn, with glittering rose-cut diamonds
resembling the cupule and leaf.
Very unusual this acorn ring may have been a conversion piece?
There are a total of fourteen rose-cut diamonds.
The
pearl is untested but is believed to be a natural saltwater pearl (not
cultivated). It displays the characteristics of a natural pearl with a
deep nacre and sheen.
It is a beautiful silvery cream colour
with natural hues of green, pink & purple. It measures 6.5mm. The
acorn sits 10.8mm high above the finger.
This beautiful antique ring will be delivered in a new black leatherette and velvet case as displayed.
