Pretty Victorian 15ct, 15k, 625 Gold & Pearl crescent moon, sweetheart brooch Circa 1890
Antique, crescent moon brooch, beautifully made with thirteen graduated, half natural seed pearls mounted in the shape of a crescent moon.
The Victorians were very sentimental and crescent moon brooches (known as honeymoon brooches) were given to the bride by the groom on their honeymoon.
The crescent moon symbolizes change, the change in their life as they unite in marriage!
Complete with gold pin and C-clasp fitting, together with a tiny loop for the attachment of a safety chain.
Hallmarked: 15ct (denotes 15carat gold)
