Description
Pretty late Georgian, Early Victorian 22ct, 22k, 916 gold Turquoise & natural Pearl ‘forget me knot” cluster ring
Antique
late Georgian, early Victorian Turquoise and pearl ring featuring a
central seed pearl surrounded by six, Cabachon Turquoise gemstones
mounted in a crimped setting.
The cluster is flanked by two x gold
flowers (one of the petals is missing on one of the flowers).
All beautifully made in 22carat gold.
Hallmarked as follows: lion passant, sovereigns head, crown, X (date letter) 22 (denotes 22ct gold)
The hallmarks are worn, but we believe the ring dates around 1842
(Sheffield) as the crown, lion and sovereigns head was used around
this time, also the date letter x has a thin line and a thicker one indicating the year 1842
The head of the ring measures 14 x 10mm (from gold flower to gold flower).
The
Persian Turquoise is a beautiful sky blue colour and the pearl is a
lovely silvery grey colour – all gemstones look to be original.
This pretty antique ring will be delivered in a new black leatherette and velvet box as displayed
