Georgian rose Gold Natural Pearl, Hair mourning, memorial brooch, hand engraved GC to CG, Circa 1830
A quality Georgian rose gold Natural Pearl mourning brooch featuring a row of tiny half natural pearls mounted in a crimped setting with a central locket containing light brown plaited hair. The central panel has a domed rock crystal, bevelled glass surrounded by a fine gold frame.
On the reverse is the following hand engraved inscription:
GC to CG
The pearls have a lovely thick nacre and are a silvery colour with purple tones.
Complete with metal pin and T-bar and C-Clasp fitting.
