Georgian 15ct Rose Gold, Natural Pearl, Hair mourning, memorial brooch, Circa 1800
A quality Georgian, high carat rose gold, Natural Pearl mourning brooch, designed in the shape of an eye. The brooch is mounted with natural pearls (ranging in size from 4mm to 1.5mm), mounted in a gold crimped setting, they are lustrous and in good condition.
To the centre of the brooch is an oval rock crystal, glazed compartment containing a plaited lock of blonde hair.
The pearls have a lovely thick nacre and are a cream, silvery colour with purple tones.
Complete with pin and T-bar and C-Clasp fitting.
