Fine, Belle Epoque 15ct, 15k, 625 Gold, Pearl & Diamond wedding Brooch, Circa 1901
A pretty example from the ‘belle epoque’ (beautiful age) era. This exquisite brooch is skillfully made in 15ct rose gold, it is intricately designed as a floral spray featuring a central, six petalled flower on an articulated joint (it moves freely) amidst an array of leaves.
All beautifully decorated with thirty-one, rose-cut diamonds and a sea pearl.
This antique brooch was most likely worn by a bride on her wedding day!
The Pearls representing ‘purity’ and the diamonds ‘forever love”
Believed to be french, this fine brooch measures 9.5 x 57.5mm
Complete with T-bar & C- clasp fitting.
Not hallmark: tested as 15carat gold.
