Exquisite Edwardian 18ct, 18k, 750 Gold, Persian Turquoise, Pearl & Diamond lavaliere necklace, Circa 1901
Beautifully made in 18ct gold during the late Victorian, early Edwardian, Art Nouveau period.
This antique necklace features a rich 18ct yellow gold belcher link chain, with a solid gold bar mounted with four rose-cut diamonds and a central oval pearl.
Suspended from this are two drops, each terminating with a pear shaped Turquoise gemstone, accented with a tiny diamond.
The two drops vary slightly in length in a lariat style.
Complete with a solid bolt ring and jump ring clasp.
The cabachon Persian Turquoise gemstones, each measure 7×4.5mm and are mounted in a gold crown setting with the tiny diamond mounted in a silver collet setting.
These beautiful Persian Turquoise gemstones are a vivid turquoise blue colour with subtle hues of green, they are well matched and have a good saturation of colour, they have no visible chips or cracks.
There are a four rose-cut diamonds each measuring approx 2mm and two 1.5mm diamonds giving an estimated total of 0.15ct
Length 17″ – width at the widest section (middle section) – 14mm with a drop of 35mm
Hallmarked on bolt ring is indecipherable – necklace has been tested as 18carat gold
Turquoise is the traditional birthstone for December. Diamond is the traditional birthstone for April
Pearl is the traditional birthstone for June
