Exquisite, Edwardian 9ct, 9k, 375 Gold Amethyst, double drop Necklace, Lavalier
Circa 1910
This pretty lariat necklace features two Amethyst gemstones attached to a gold rolo link chain.
At the top of the pendant section is a round, faceted 5.5mm Amethyst, attached via a solid split gold bar to an oval 8x10mm Amethyst drop.
The Amethyst gemstones are a lovely deep purple, they all match beautifully!

The name Lavalier (also spelt lavalier or lavallière) derived from the name of the Duchesse de La Vallière (1644-1710), one of the mistresses of Louis XIV, who favoured this style of necklace.
