Exquisite Edwardian 18ct, 18k, 750 Gold, Persian Turquoise festoon necklace Circa 1901
Beautifully made in 18ct gold during the late Victorian, Art Nouveau period. This antique necklace features five oval cabachon Persian Turquoise gemstones, each one mounted in a gold crown setting and suspended from a rope link chain in a festoon design.
Length 16″ – width at the widest section (middle section drop) 12.2mm
The central, largest Turquoise measures approximately 7.5 x 4mm
flanked by two, 5.5 x 4mm & two, 5 x 3.5mm.
Not hallmarked but fully tested as 18carat gold
These beautiful Persian Turquoise gemstones are a vivid turquoise blue colour with subtle hues of green, they are well matched and have a good saturation of colour, they have no visible chips or cracks.
Turquoise is the traditional birthstone for December.
