Exquisite, Edwardian 15ct, 15k 625 Gold Peridot & Diamond drop earrings
Circa 1901
An exquisite pair of Edwardian Diamond and Peridot drop earrings, each beautifully made with seven old-cut diamonds mounted in a foliate design terminating with a Peridot gemstone drop, “en tremblant” (in a trembling style).
The Peridots are a deep, vibrant green colour and each measure 6.5×4.8mm. Complete with rose gold shepherd hook fittings.
These quintessential earrings combine the delicate refinement of the Edwardians with the romanticism of the Victorians. Peridot was a favoured gemstone used in jewellery, its popularity peaked during the aesthetic period of the Victorian era.
It was the favorite gemstone of Kind Edward VII of England.
