Fine Edwardian, Belle Epoque 14ct Rose Gold, Pearl & Diamond (1.23 to 1.50ct) horseshoe Brooch,
A fine example from the ‘Belle epoque’ (beautiful age) era.
This exquisite brooch is skilfully made in 14ct gold.
Designed as a horseshoe, it is beautifully decorated with 7 x bright, old-cut diamonds (VS1, I/J), 11 x rose-cut diamonds and 4 x seed pearls mounted in a foliate and scroll design on an open worked rose gold frame.
Complete with overlocking, secure clasp (a later addition).
There are 5 x 3.2mm diamonds, 2 x 3.7mm and 11 x rose-cut diamonds, with a combined carat weight of between 1.23ct to 1.50ct’s.
Diamonds are the traditional birthstone for April
Pearls are the traditional birthstone for June
Believed to be french, this fine brooch measures 28.8 x 21.5mm.
Can easily be converted to a necklace if preferred – please contact us to discuss
