Art Nouveau, 9ct, 9k, 375 gold Amethyst & Pearl lavalier necklace by Maker H & W
Circa 1905
Beautifully made in 9ct gold during the Edwardian, Art Nouveau period.
This antique pendant features a central oval 6 x 8.5mm faceted Amethyst mounted on a knife edged bar in an open worked pearl decorated gold frame.
The frame has a scroll designed outer ring beautifully decorated with gold and pearl daisy flowers and leaves with tiny seed pearls mounted in a gold foliate design.
Complete with pearl mounted bail.
A matching but smaller pear shaped Amethyst ( 5.5 x 4 mm) drop hangs at the base in an “en tremblant” (in a trembling style).
This pretty pendant comes with a new 16″ /41cm 9ct trace link chain.

A beautiful gemstone this Amethyst is a vibrant purple with a good saturation of colour, it has no visible chips or cracks.
Amethyst is the traditional birthstone for February.
Pearl is the traditional birthstone for June.
