C1905Beautifully made in 9ct gold during the Edwardian, Art Nouveau period.This antique pendant features a central oval 6 x 8mm faceted Amethyst mounted on a knife edged bar, in an open worked pearl & Amethyst decorated gold frame.
The frame has a scroll & leaf design, intricately decorated with tiny Amethyst flowers and pearl leaves mounted in a gold foliate design.
Complete with pearl mounted bail.
A matching but smaller pear shaped Amethyst (5.5 x 4mm) drop hangs at the base in an “en tremblant” (in a trembling style).
Hallmarked 9ct verso together with makers initials H&W
A beautiful gemstone this Amethyst is a vibrant purple with a good saturation of colour, it has no visible chips or cracks.
Amethyst is the traditional birthstone for February.
Pearl is the traditional birthstone for June.
