Edwardian, 18ct Gold & Platinum Emerald & old-cut diamond ring
Circa 1910
A beautiful Edwardian double gemstone twist ring featuring a 3.8mm Emerald and a 4mm old-cut Diamond mounted in a Platinum claw setting on an 18carat yellow gold shank.
The Emerald gemstone is a beautiful vivid green colour, with a carat weight of approximately 0.25ct.
The old european-cut Diamond displays a clear cutlet, it is deep with an estimated carat weight of 0.25ct.
The diamond is a estimated as Clarity VVSI, Colour G/H.
Total gemstone carat weight is approx 0.50ct
This style of ring is often referred to as ‘toi’ et ‘moi’ (you and me) and is a popular choice for an engagement ring. Believed to have originated from 1776 when Napolean presented a double stoned ring as an engagement ring to his love Josephine.
