Early Victorian Natural Salmon Pink Coral Beaded Necklace, length 12.5″ / 32cm, on 9ct gold barrel clasp, Circa 1860
Antique, Victorian graduated Coral beaded necklace, with a central bead measuring 7 x 6.5mm, graduating in size to a 4mm, hand knotted onto a 9ct rose gold barrel clasp.
The necklace would probably have been given as a Christening Present (this was a popular gift during the Victorian Period as it was believed that Coral would protect the wearer).

The coral is a lovely salmon pink colour, you can see the natural grain in the close up images
Hallmarked: 9ct (denotes 9carat gold) and Ciro on clasp (this is a later addition)
