Antique Victorian 18ct, 18k, 750 Gold Natural Pearl & Ruby Daisy, cluster ring
Circa 1880
An exquisite Antique Pearl & Ruby daisy ring from the Victorian period, Circa 1880. The daisy style was popular around the turn of the century.
Beautifully made in 18ct yellow gold, the central Ruby is mounted in a crimped setting, surrounded by six natural half pearls to form the daisy, mounted on wide tapering shoulders.
The pearls measure approximately 3mm in diameter and are a pale silvery cream colour with purple hues.
The Ruby gemstone is a beautiful vivid ‘pigeons blood’ red colour.
The Victorians often designed jewellery with hidden meanings and sentimental messages.
Rubies represent passion and Pearls purity.
The width of the ring is 10mm and length across the finger is 17.4mm.
