Antique, Georgian Silver, black dot paste curved brooch, pin Circa 1830
A beautiful European Silver paste brooch, featuring nine, french-cut paste stones mounted in a silver crimped setting on a slightly curved bar. Each beautiful black-dot paste stone measures 6mm, they are very well matched and clear.
Complete with T-bar & C-clasp fitting.
French cut stones are square or rectangular multifaceted gems, recognisable by the typical cross the crown facets depict. Dating back to the 1400s, they became fashionable in the 18th century and then again during the Art Deco Era.
Highly collectable, this lovely paste brooch has all of the original bright and clean paste stones, each one displaying a clear black dot (culet).
