Antique, Edwardian gypsy ring, mounted with an old-cut 2.5mm solitaire Diamond, set in a star setting.
All beautifully made in 18ct gold.
The star setting adds to the magical sparkle of the Diamond, it literally twinkles like a star!
The ring measures 8mm at its widest point and gently tapers down to a 3mm shank.
Hallmarked: crown, 18 (denotes 18carat gold), Chester assay mark, date letter ? together with makers initials JH
Traditionally gypsy rings were given as friendship rings and were very popular during the late Victorian, early Edwardian period.
They look great worn on their own, or stacked with other rings.
