Exquisite, Antique ‘Belle Epoque’ 18ct, 18k, 750 Gold Diamond 1.40ct brooch / pendant, Circa 1890
An exquisite brooch / pendant from the ‘Belle Epoque’ (beautiful age) era.
This beautiful antique brooch is mounted with thirty-four mixed cut diamonds (rose-cut & cushion cut) mounted in an abstract heart and scroll design. The centre 4mm diamond is the largest, it is mounted in a collet setting with a double open, circular frame, in an abstract heart surround, beautifully finished with scrolling edges and a “en tremblant” diamond drop.
The combined diamond carat weight is approximately 1.40ct.
A truly statement piece, this brooch is dripping with diamonds and would look stunning clipped onto a pashmina shawl or as a statement piece on an LBD, can also be worn as a large pendant.
Diamond is the birthstone for April.
Not hallmarked but tested as 18ct gold.
